Centrifugal oil cleaners:
|
The centrifuge processes about 10 percent of the oil in the bypass that comes from the oil pump. This means that soot particles and abrasion metals can be removed from the oil. The centrifuge is driven by the pressurized engine oil. Speeds of more than 10,000 rpm can be achieved depending on the size of the centrifuge, the oil pressure, and the viscosity.
Centrifugal oil cleaners are made as required of metal, plastic or a combination of the two.
Centrifugal oil cleaners offer the following advantages:
- separation and storage of large quantities of dirt particles
- optimum soot separation for EU 4 applications
- extended service intervals
- longer and more effective use of the oil
- uncomplicated service thanks to replacement of rotor from above
- effective protection against wear
- recyclable thanks to metal-free plastic centrifuge rotor
